RE:GIFT

Christmas is the perfect moment to come together and show each other love, care, and support. With this event, we wanted to create a space where people could find meaningful gifts for their loved ones, while choosing a more sustainable alternative to traditional Christmas shopping.

We gathered at Kabul à GoGo, a lovely local spot in Utrecht, which set the perfect cozy and welcoming atmosphere for the afternoon. Everyone was invited to bring an item they felt affectionate toward — something with a story — and exchange it for something new, better suited for themselves or for someone they love. In this way, gifts were not only exchanged, but also reimagined, carrying new meaning and a second life.

During the event, we held a short speech in which we shared our story, our values, and the reasons behind this initiative. It was a moment of connection, reflection, and shared intention. Throughout the entire afternoon, a DJ animated the space with music, creating a warm and lively energy that kept the mood joyful and relaxed.

We also hosted a creative workshop where participants could build their own personal Christmas decorations using discarded garnets and reclaimed materials. This hands-on moment encouraged creativity while highlighting the importance of sustainability and minimizing waste — proving that beauty can come from what is often thrown away.

The result was a festive, inspiring, and heartwarming event where sustainability, creativity, and community came together. It was a celebration of conscious gifting, shared stories, and the simple joy of being together during the holidays. 🎄✨
